nine70 - A Young Adult Ministry in Fort Collins
nine70 (pronounced “nine-seven-oh”) is the Young Adult Ministry at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our ministry isn’t limited to just Fort Collins, however. Our desire is to serve young adults in the 970 area code, which covers most of Northern Colorado.
The Mission, Goals, and Vision of nine70
Our mission is to LET LOVE LIVE by KNOWING GOD and SENDING DISCIPLES.
Our goals include:
- Training leaders to live and lead empowered by the Holy Spirit, and thus with Jesus-like character.
- Provide small group and 1-on-1 discipleship
- Experience large group outreach and community
Our vision for nine70 is to equip Young Adults to be Salt and Light in the World. (Matthew 5:13-16)
Who We Serve
Young adults is a broad term, but our ministry aims to be inclusive of young adults from a variety of experiences and backgrounds. While college ministries provide fellowship opportunities for college students, there are young adults from other life stages that are sometimes overlooked. That is where nine70 is different. We focus on serving not only college students, but young professionals and young married couples.
College Students
- College students are not limited to just students at Colorado State University. We also aim to serve students at Front Range Community College, Colorado Christian University and other trade and vocational colleges in Fort Collins.
Young Professionals
- Typically college alumni starting their professional careers
- We also welcome men and women in vocational fields with minimal post-secondary education.
- Discharged military personell trying to determine their direction.
Young Married Couples
- Young couples just starting their married lives together, building their marriage and family around Christ.
- Our young married couples act as mentors to newly engaged and newlywed young adult couples.
